Using the SOMS Filter
Unlike conventional filters, the SOMS Filter makes engine oil maintenance much easier and less expensive. The SOMS Filter is installed when you change the engine oil. After that it gets easier. The SOMS Filter is replaced every other change interval and you don’t change the oil, just change the filter. For vehicles with a 3,000 mile oil change interval, install a new SOMS Filter every 6,000 miles, top-up the oil if necessary but don’t change it until 24,000 miles. For vehicles with a change interval of 5,000 miles or higher, the SOMS Filter is changed every 10,000 miles and the oil can be used to 30,000 miles.
For vehicles that operate under severe conditions and change their oil at less than 3,000 miles, follow the same routine as above, installing a new filter every other interval, and keep the oil for 6 change intervals.
Warranty
The SOMS Filter is an automotive aftermarket product and is made of primarily off-the-shelf parts that meet the engine and vehicle specifications. SOMS Technologies offers a warranty on the SOMS Filter so that if you properly use and install the filter and your engine is damaged due to the SOMS Filter, we will cover the cost of any repairs up to the replacement of the engine.
